Ok, The Annual Mouse Invasion has come and gone. What a Great time for the 175,000 imported Gay guests that shared Gay Days 2005. Every attraction venue had Reds Shirts in abundance. Day or Night your Brothers & Sisters kept coming. All with a smile upon their faces.  Congratulations is in Order to the citizens of Orlando and all the many different groups that made the Kick-Off to Pride Month 2005 one of the best in History.

 

Look What's New at The Suncoast Resort

Well hold on to your swimsuits for a little while why the new facelift to the Suncoast pool is being completed. The new black tiles around the top and new cool decking are to be finished by next week. The new painted walkway decks on the upper floors are completed. We do have a couple of sneek preview shots! We want to welcome 4 new businesses as neighbors. First is the new hair salon owned by Jeremiah Cohen, Jaeway's Salon at the Suncoast. FMI  727-865-6912.   Cliff Flowers has taken over the Consession & Game Room. Newly painted purple walls and snack vending machines next to the pool tables.

New owner from Las Vegas, Darren Langford has opened Plugged -In Internet Cafe. His past 7 years in the computer business arena has brought him to St. Petersburg. New Wireless Internet is to be implemented throughout the Suncoast Resort starting by months end.So go and check to see if you have E-mail!  FMI  727-906-0890.  And First Equity Financial, LLC., mortgage broker Bobby Edington is in Ste. 39 with his office facing the volleyball courts.             A full day of fun events on the beach and in the historic waterfront district of gay friendly Gulfport!
     8am-1pm    ‘Gulfport Green’, Farmers Market – Art Village Courtyard  2908-2914 Beach Blvd.
     10am-2pm    Pride Brunch at the historic Peninsula Inn, 2937 Beach Blvd. $12 for brunch;  $5 make your own Bloody Mary Bar -- $1 from each brunch and $1 from each Bloody Mary benefits Pride. Call  727-346-9800 for reservations.
     11am-6pm    Pride ‘Family Values Picnic’ on Gulfport Beach.   Numerous competitions and events - Sign up at the Seabreeze Bed and Breakfast, our official “Beach House”  Please note:  No cooking allowed on Gulfport Beach - Gulfport Chamber will be selling hot dogs and sodas, Metro Center selling other concessions, St. Pete Pride selling water and Pride merchandise.

1pm-10pm    Special 3rd     Saturday Pride ‘Art Walk’  featuring many artists and craft people as well as street musicians.  Stone Goddess, Domain Gifts and Emily’s Framing will be serving free Rainbow Jello Shooters.
     1pm-3pm    World renowned artist Jules Burt  appearing at Domain.  Come meet her as she signs her ‘Queen Diva’ collection.
     2pm    Campy Beach Fashion Show at the ‘Sea Breeze Manor Bed and Breakfast ’ - our official ‘Beach House’  Cast of Divas and boys from Pepperz.
     3pm    Volley Ball Tournament

      6pm    Performance by ROTC (Righteously Outrageous Twirling Corp), a precision flag twirling group, in front of the Historic Gulfport Casino.

St. Pete Pride Issues a Call for Volunteers.

    Volunteers are needed to help with St. Pete Pride's Third Annual Promenade and Street Festival on June 25.  Promenade Marshals and Street Festival Marshals must attend one of two training sessions.
    The first session will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 10AM-Noon.  Location:  The Metro Center, 3170 Third Avenue N., St. Petersburg.
    Second session will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at King Of Peace MCC at 3150 Fifth Ave. N., St. Petersburg from 7-9PM.
    PLEASE use FRONT door;  avoid social hall, meeting in progress with church group.  Meet in Room 328.
    Volunteers are needed to help guide the Promenade from its starting point to the dispersal area.  Learn use of walkie talkies, crowd management, safety issues.  Special Promenade Marshal and Street Marshal T Shirts. 
    Also, a call to a general orientation meeting:  Monday, June 13, King Of Peace Social Hall.  7PM.  ALL Welcome, but vendors are strongly encouraged to attend.  View festival set up, get your booth assignment.  Questions answered.
