Las Vegas Trip

Off to the land of poker dealers, hot desert weather, and fabulous shows for a week. Las Vegas was a great time with KC, Mark & Carrie all on the glitzy prowl. A lot of work shopping during the day and of course fun night life. We did do a lot of buying at the ASD/AMD gift trade show ( 5 convention floors in 3 convention centers, with over 5,000 booths) so we will have new stuffs for you in MC Film shortly! What is a trip to Vegas without stopping at some of the best gay watering holes in the country. Truly a joy to see the regular bartenders. One next to the Liberace Museum, Goodtime's Bar. And of coarse we had to give homage to Liberace. The Changes at Hamburger Mary's seem to be happening a lot to its franchisee's. It was closed and opening up under another name (Just like we hear the Ft. Laud franchise chain is doing.)  What a great treat to stop by some adult beverage shops The Buffalo, Gipsy, and Suede. Vegas now has another 16 Gay Vegas drinking establishments that are open 24 hours. A Plus is the slot machines right in front or on the bar for your gambling convenience!  If and when you go to Las Vegas, you MUST go to old Vegas to experience the Fremont Experience. A full 4 block covered street with a movie screen overhead. Movies are every half hour starting at dusk. It is wonderful!! I'll never get over when one says " It's only 110 degrees out, but it is a dry heat!"

Suncoast Resort Buzz

OMG Performing in a FREE Courtyard concert, labor Day Weekend will be La Bouche performing their hit songs, "Sweet Dreams" & "Be My Lover". In the Lunar Lounge there are new video cameras, aimed at the stage. Do you think they should put the video on a live web cam? E-mail Mark S. at suncoastbar@aol.com with your input. Rumor has it that the resort is now serving a micro brew beer called "Pink Surf Board." Hum... could there be a new micro brewery coming soon? This past weekend there was a convention of straight swingers in town. Most of the people were from OH, KY & GA. On Saturday night the main event was "Do a Gay Man"! Unfortunatly the straights were not use to Gay Cocktails, so not too much happened. Well..., Except in the ladies room at the Lunar. Stephen was caught tasting forbiden fruits! We all hope the group comes back again soon & try to stay a little sober this time! At the Best Body of the Bay Contest, this weeks winner was Miss Samatha Perkins! Labor Day Weekend all the winners will be coming back and compete for the grand prizes. Don't forget the Secret MC Film Sale in the basement! See you all there!

 

 

 

Florida Couples Group Benefits Francis House 

"IT HAPPENS," a new play written by local playwright  J. Max Turner and performed by the Carrollwood Players raised $4500.00 opening night for Francis House. Francis House is a interfaith center designed to respond with compassion and justice to the spiritual and emotional needs of HIV/AIDS infected and affected men, women and children.
The new coming of age play had the audience held in suspense. A packed crowd for the four performances last weekend netted an unknown total to be given to the Home.
