Mark Turns 50! A week of Parties

Well Mark can only turn 50 once (maybe)! It was a week long of Birthday Greetings.

Starting at the Wedgewood Lounge where Mark (Teacup) bartends with Judy B. Goode Show on Thursdays. FeFe later played the late night piano show. Saturday, Alan Darcy entertained and played the sax like no one can. Mark incorporated it all in a fun packed BD week. Birthday Cake Greetings to all. Monday a slew of 40 Friends and Family from around the state traveled to Orlando to help Mark celebrate his 50th at the all famous P-House. The resort was all decked out to the Halloween's 'nth' degree. A full pumpkin patch with scarecrows and witches have you, all in the resorts center courtyard. We created our own scenes from Wizard of Oz seeing monkeys with wings, with joyous laughs of years gone by, ending to a few shots of many favorite adult beverages.The Italian dinner at the resort was delish!!! Thanks to Ms. Sunshine and Ja Ja at the P-House Restaurant. From a late nite rest at the Full Moon Saloon to a real long and fun week full of birthday getaway shopping adventures! So many surprising recollection stories from friends... I guess pics tell the story best. So until another year,

The Gardens

The Parliament House owners in Orlando have opened the 2nd phase of the new Gay Time Share called "The Gardens." The new construction is now getting under way with large 1& 2 bedroom condo units for sale. "Phase 1 sold out fairly fast." said smiling owner and Sales Manager, Bryan Granatstein. "Phase II will add double the units and the courtyard amenities (pools, hot tubs, boat dock and lush landscaping) will be constructed along with the new 2nd phase. All construction of 180+ units will be completed by 2009." Along with the timeshares is a new proposed 2 story retail complex, a boat dock and restaurant, a new Hamburger Mary's Restaurant across the street and possible apartment complex in the future. Who's Your Neighbor! Meet Kelli & Bill

A lot of people have asked us to pick out people in the community and write about them. So we want you to meet Suncoast Resort's Front Desk Manager Bill Trotter and afternoon front desk welcomer, Kelli Love.

A little about Bill. He is from Franklin, PA. , owned 2 gay bars outside of Atlanta, has been with partner Kyle Taplin for 10 years, and moved to St. Petersburg last March. Loves singing Karaoke, Florida's weather and beaches. His Background was being a Baptist Minister for 15 years, favorite movie is "Birdcage" and lives by the motto, "just please people."

We found this about Kelli. She is married to high school sweetheart Kevin for 10 years, loves animals including Jack Russell Terrier dog, "Rocky" and Bull Mastive "GG" (Gentle Giant) , gardening especially flowers. Her favorite movie is Robin Williams, "What Dreams May Come", activity is roller skating and loves eccentric and outgoing people.

What's up with Jim Davis?

As die hard Democrats it's just killing us to watch Jim Davis run so poorly for the Florida's Governors office. It's almost as if Jim Davis wants to loose the race! In his attack ads on Charlie Christ the Davis camp shows Charlie looking very presidential and Davis looking so so. In the Tampa Bay area there almost no Davis billboards and except for our lawn and the lawns of some of our friends there are no signs. In front of the Jim Davis office on South Henderson there are no signs? This week another bomb shell. We sent the Davis camp a copy of last weeks "Dishing with Mark & Carrie" the title was UN! BANNED, the movie. Which is the story of ronda storms and the Gay Community. Below is the reply we received!?!?!?!!!!!!!
