Wickedly Topical -- New York Times

Excellent thought provoking. -- Dramalogue Magazine

Scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment. As mass media descends upon the event, the other members of the sleigh team demand to share their perspectives, and a horrific tale of corruption and perversion emerges, which seems to implicate everyone from the littlest elf to the tainted Saint himself. With each deer's confession, the truth behind the shocking allegations becomes clearer and clearer. ...and murkier and murkier.

News from Leigh Shannon

Hi to all.

WELL I can't believe the Democrats did as well as they did.  But I am happy and at least we have a change and maybe some checks and balances.  The last six years have been so corrupt and full of scandals.  And we thought Bill Clinton getting a blow job was heavy duty?  Well, onto 2008 I guess.  You thought it got dirty for this one, just wait until the run for president.  I feel it will be the dirtiest of them all.

Back to work after the Halloween rush, the clubs are back in my life.  We had a great time at the
Cold Keg last Friday with Tasha Scott.  Don't forget this Friday (the 17th), we have a special surprise guest!  And just wait until next month!  My gal pal guests for Girl's Nite Out will be the one and only LOLLIE!  She is a super nice girl but a hot act as well.  She is one of my favorite gal dancers! Also We will be having the CD Release party for Bette Midler's Christmas CD, "COOL YULE" .  And the long awaited soundtrack to "Dreamgirls" starring Beyonce!  And Roz Russel and I will be having our special Christmas show called of course "COOL YULE" on the 17th of December.   And my very special guest on the 29th of December, Miss Sammy!  And don't forget I at the Cold Keg next Saturday as well!

Orlando news, I hear of a NEW club opening in Orlando that will feature a show bar, dance floor, restaurant, and a piano lounge is in the works.  I cannot say much, but it will be exactly what this town needs.  Look for opening in early February.  The working name right now is Xanadu I think.  But I have seen the space and it absolutely fabulous!  So cross your fingers it all works out.  We need it in Orlando.

Well,. I told you that my partner and I just celebrated 20 years.  Well, I have to share, He bought me a piano and I bought him Botox and a trip to New York, LOL!  Seriously, I used to play the piano as a teenager and I have always wanted one.  He bought me a beautiful black Pearl River and I am so excited!  I start lessons on Wednesday.  Wish me luck!

You all take good care!

Leigh

Crist Betrays Voters, Backtracks on Civil Unions

******* Equality Florida Action Network, Inc *******

(URGENT: FORWARD WIDELY)

On the eve of the mid-term election, Charlie Crist's campaign
has announced that he no longer supports civil unions. Crist's
campaign now claims that their candidate was misunderstood and
that he only supports private contracts, not government
recognized legal protections such as civil unions and domestic
partnerships.

"Crist has played word games for months to leave the impression
that he is supportive without committing to any real protections
for same-sex couples," said Nadine Smith, executive director for
Equality Florida.

Equality Florida has frequently questioned the fact that Crist
claimed to support the far-right's anti-marriage,
anti-civil-union amendment but also has stated he "supports
civil unions." Crist refused to answer Equality Florida's
candidate questionnaire while Jim Davis took a position
supporting civil unions and opposing the amendment.

Crist's support for gay civil unions narrows

November 06, 2006 By: Harris Meyer

After months of saying he supports civil unions between same-sex
couples, Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist has
significantly narrowed the definition of what he means.

Asked Thursday whether his support for civil unions is
consistent with his backing for a proposed anti-gay marriage
amendment to the Florida Constitution, a campaign spokeswoman
said Crist opposes state-approved civil unions.

"Charlie Crist believes that private individuals may enter
contractual relationships with each other; however, he does not
support the state extending marital benefits to nontraditional
couples," Crist spokeswoman Erin Isaac said in an e-mail to the
Daily Business Review.

That's not what most gay rights supporters mean by civil unions.
Crist's statement surprised the head of the Orlando chapter of
the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay Republican organization.

"Charlie Crist has adamantly said he supports civil unions,"
said Patrick Howell, an Orlando attorney who supports Crist. "He
needs to put his money where his mouth is and get a
constitutional amendment to create unions."

Josh Earnest,
