Atlanta Business & FUN Trip
It was off to Atlanta for a buying trip to the
www.AmericasMart.com . This is one of the top buying
shows in the country. Try to imagine 3 buildings 20
stories each, covering 3 downtown city blocks, all
connected by skyway bridges on each floor! Now that's
some serious business shopping! We spent 3 days at the
show and are proud to announce that there will be many
new items coming into MC Film Fest Suncoast
every week for the next 8 week! You will find fun items
like; Lobster flavored Bloody Mary Mix, Fab Male
Statues, Rainbow Pride items (many custom made for
MC Film Only) & many more fun items to
impress & offend! The trip wasn't just work Of Course!
The warm GLBT Atlanta community showed us true southern
hospitality. The food was over the top WOW!!! Our three
favorite Mid Town restaurants were
Einstein's, Cow Tippers &
Taverna Plaka . We made
it bar hopping two of the nights and our local guides
took us to Burkhart's, Felix's, Hoedowns,
Oscar's, Red Chair, & Woof's. We
especially enjoyed the new club "B.J."
Owned by Bobby, a writer for
Buzz Magazine, this club was fun,
classy, clean, friendly and over the top fun! Good luck
to our Buzz Family Member!

your next trip. A trip to Atlanta just wouldn't be

Now we have the exclusive East Coast Premiere of
OUTLAUGH! -- the movie about the Outlaugh
Festival! OUTLAUGH! is a hilarious journey onstage
and backstage with the comedians who made the
Outlaugh Comedy Festival, featuring Lea DeLaria as
headlining diva. This film will make you laugh out
loud while you get to see the behind-the-scenes
exclusive romp that was the making of America's
first lesbian and gay comedy festival.
OUTLAUGH recently headlined as the closing night
film for the Austin Film Festival.

"This hilarious, historic concert film showcases
the funniest queer stand-up comics and queer
sketch groups working in America today. The First
Queer Comedy Festival in America, Outlaugh! 2005,
hosted by The Gay Mafia comedy troupe, was
side-splittingly funny.
Created and co-produced by Mike Player of The Gay
Mafia, the event consisted of five comedy shows
over fours days and brought together nearly 30
LGBT comics from across the country to strut their
stuff. Headliners included Lea Delaria, Bob Smith,
comedy group The Nellie Olesons, Mark Davis,
Sabrina Matthews, Page Hurwitz, Jason Stuart, Jen
Slusser, Andre Kelley, Jason Dudey, and The Gay
Mafia.
The now legendary event was captured on film by
Emmy-winning director Gene Merker, who has put
together this collection of the highlights from
the comedy festival, as well as a fiery
behind-the-scenes look at the comedians backstage
and what it takes to put yourself onstage to bare
your soul and get as many laughs as possible.
**Saturday, January 27 is the same day as the
annual Gasparilla Festival & Parade. Plan ahead
for parking insanity! Remember, Channelside IMAX
patrons receive a stamp to validate for 50 CENT
PARKING in their garage that evening. Others will
be charged the flat rate event fee to park. For

for shuttles, parking and transit into and out of

Waterside Landing
As Always I had a fun weekend! I
spent Saturday Night at
Waterside Landing, watching Alexis
De LaMer, Katherine Nevets, and DC. I
was in a fabulous outfit that I made
in two hours. I guess that’s what an
$80,000 college education will give
you! LOL! Thanks to Thumber, Mikey,
Chuck, Brooks, George, and Aurora
