It is time again to watchout for the wandering and
rumaging pirates in and around Tampa. They come in
all shapes and heights. Even straight and gay!!!!
Pirate Parades along Bayshore, Festivities more
than you can count, and invasion of sorts taking
over the political powers of Tampa. It is one heck
of a fun time in the making. The now named Southwest
Airlines Gasparilla Pirate Fest has a
full 3 weeks of fun in and on the streets of Tampa.
The Pirate Fest Parade
starts Sat. Jan 27th at 2 PM but the parties along
the parade route always start earlier. An est.
750,000+ are expected this year! Parties, Fireworks,
Music & Pirates!
And lets not forget about collecting and fighting

Lorenzo & Schweickert, An
Ongoing Grisly Bay Area Story
Late Friday nite Scott Schweickert
was given his fate by a Federal Jury
into the disappearances of 2 Tampa Bay area Gay Men
missing in December 2003, Michael Wachholtz
and Jason Galehouse, both 26. Schweickert
can face up to 40 years in prison. His counterpart
and conspirer Steven Lorenzo was
sentenced on similar Federal charges to 200 years in
prison back in Nov 2005. Both missing men were
picked up at the leather bar, 2606.
Both missing men were taken to Lorenzo's North Tampa
home where they were drugged, tortured and killed.
Wachholtz body was found 2 weeks later in an
apartment complex but Jason Galehouse body hasn't
been found. The Schweickert charges of 2 counts of
conspiracy with Steven Lorenzo and to administer a
drug, GHB to Michael Wachholtz. The 2 missing men
have had posters up in stores and bars all around
the Tampa Bay area. During the trial Schweickert
made mention he had seen a poster of the missing men
at a store front (MC FILM) at Suncoast
Resort in late December 2003. Now will
the State Prosecutors Office step
up and charge these 2 men with the murders? The
Tampa Bay Gay Community
wants to know! Another gay man is still missing.

Commissioners Make Proclamation !!!!!
Enough already with the crazy antics of the
Hillsborough County Board of Commissioner.
Besides making a national mockery of themselves
about the "No acknowledgement, or promotion to a
gay pride event in Hillsborough County" they
now want to have a County Proclamation to honor the
Confederate General Robert E. Lee
on his 200 year birthday for all of 2007!
Commission Chairman Jim Norman read the
" Year of Lee" Proclamation. I guess
it is same-o same-o with the newly elected local
politicians again! What's next???
