Dear Readers,
I wanted to send this letter to every subscriber to our magazine, both past and present, and thank you for your support these past two years. As I know you get bombarded with daily emails and spam, I thought it was important to contact all of you and up-date you on what is going on with the magazine and the importance of your subscription to A Bear's Life
As I write this, I am in Los Angeles to interview the director/producer Kevin Smith for the cover of the holiday issue. Kevin plans to take the magazine and introduce the bear culture to David Letterman on The David Letterman Show on September 25th. I hope you will all be watching for history to be made. This will be the first time that the Bear Community hits prime time on public television.
I am asking those of you who are on our mailing lists and those of you who are not current subscribers or who purchase our magazine in book stores to subscribe on line. The numbers of subscribers we have in our system are vital to the corporate support of the magazine which in turn gives us the ability to support the clubs throughout the country. I can't stress enough that the purpose of A Bear's Life is to provide a vehicle to pass important information to the bear community and get financial support from Corporate America so we in turn can give that money back to our community. We have given over $17,000 back to the clubs in the United States this year and without a force of subscribers, we will never reach that goal of providing all the bear clubs with financial support. We are not an adult entertainment magazine, A Bear's Life was created for the Global Bear Community and we need the your support.
For those of you that are already subscribers, I thank you for your support and encouraging emails and ask you to urge your friends within the subscribe to the magazine to support us and the community.

The is Roger, the President of the Tampa Bay Wranglers. We're still going strong even without a homebar, thanks to the fine folks at 7@14 for allowing us to practice there. We love those guys and hopefully will be doing a show there very soon.
Anyway, the reason I'm sending you a note is to see if I you can get some of your fine readers to place a vote for me to be the 2007 Interactive Male Country Western Man of the Year.
The contest has ran for a few months now and I was the winner for May 2007. Now the top 5 winners are duking it out for the OVERALL WINNER in Each CATEGORY. I am going up against some good looking fellers from California, Texas, Canada and Missouri. I hope to represent Florida well in my category. Their are some other Floridians in the contest as well in other Categories.

The " Family Impact Summit" scheduled to take place in Brandon, September 20th through 22nd, will be one of the largest, if not the largest, far right anti-gay such conferences to ever be held.
Pride Tampa Bay, Equality Florida, The Hillsborough County GLBTA Democratic Caucus, Securing Our Children's Rights, along with other local, state, national progressive and religious/faith based organizations are putting together a response.
