This is in reponse to the airing of the American Family Association's hateful hour long primetime hateful-mercial " Silencing the Christians" that aired June 27th. Dinner & Movie Date - GaYBOR Style

This past Saturday night I asked my lover out on a Dinner & Movie Date. YES!!! after 31 years together we still go out on dates!

The Dinner

A call to good friends and it was agreed to meet at Rock-n-Sports for dinner. Not only was Rock-n-Sports a founding members of GaYBOR but you just can not go wrong with their daily specials! A chicken & ribs BBQ special with all the trimmings for $11.95.They offer 12 different on tap variety of beer.None of us could finish the whole meal. The very friendly staff makes you feel like you're at Cheers. Don't forget every Tuesday night is "Gay Wing it In Night", all the wings you can eat for $9.95 in a choice of 12 wing sauces!!!

The Movie - Bruno

After dinner it's a 20 foot walk over to Centro Muvico Theaters. Did you know that Centro Muvico is the ONLY moive theater in the bay are that is a member of GaYBOR! They have donated free theatres, prizes and been very supportive of our GLBT Community. The movie was "Bruno." There is much controversy pro and against Bruno. We would compare it to the movie "Another Gay Movie" . Many scenes you knew that you should not be laughing at, but were. Bruno was hysterically funny while being shocking to many, extremely rude & politically incorrect!!!! The over zealous gay situations might be hard for some closet cases to take but to us it was just everyday reactions. Some of the S&M scenes were over the top. Nothing that we hadn't seen (or heard of) in the real world. The night we were there the theatre was 4/5 full with a very mixed crowd. While the gays were wildly laughing, others just didn't get it. In the first 15 minutes over 20 got up and walked out.Too bad for them. Bruno is just a fictional movie!!! Did it make us laugh? YES. Did it make us forget about the outside world? YES. Did we spend the rest of the night re-living the jokes & laughing? YES. Would we see it again? YES. Would re recommend it to our friends? a Big YES!!! Bruno get 5 stars from us! It's just an off the wall satirical movie!!!!

Stopping for a Night Cap

Leaving Muvico, Ybor was alive with night energy & magic. A short 50 feet to L' Olivier's Bistro & Cabaret to catch the second show. Standing on the street corner were the right wing relgious squackers just like in the movie. Ever wonder just what do these people do for a real living? Into L' Olivier's where Amy De Milo, former Miss Gay Florida, Natasha Richards, Miss Gay USA & the Cabaret Dancers were performing. If you have never been to L Olivier's what are you waiting for? The Only Can-Can, Moulin Rouge & Drag show on the Westcoast. There are 2 shows there every Thursday, Friday, Saturday. The first dinner show is at 8:30 with a large cast & very impressive show. At the end of the first show the audience is introduced & WOW'd by the show director, Miss Amy!! Tonight Amy had a special attendee, her Mother visiting. The second show is mostly high camp drag. Every Sunday there is a top shelf drag show there with cheap drinks! On our way to the car we had to make one more stop... The Reservoir to see MOMA! Self described as the most famous hole in the wall bar in Ybor City, Moma bosts she servies everybody from Bikers to Feathers! We said hi to Moma's real son at the door. Inside there were a couple people shooting pools, a couple guys we had seen at the movie earlier, and older guy making out with what looked like his daughter, the four of us & tourist trying to smoke cigars. For our entertainment there were 3 macho guys on the punching ball machine trying to impress the gay guys! Everybody was getting along & having a good time. Just the way Moma likes it! OK...just one more stop. Next door is New York, New York, the Best Pizza Ever!!! True slice of New York style pizza, just fold the slice over & let the hot cheese run!

It was now 1 AM and there were lines at The Honey Pot, G.Bar & Ritz Theatre. Music was coming out of clubs and the streets full of people having a great summer night fun time. See you in GaYBOR on your next date!

New Gay Beach

The Unofficial / Official Gay Beach has been all over Tampa Bay. From Clearwater Beach - Picnic Island - Betty Davis Beach - Pass-a-Grill Beach - Sunset Beach and more. This year the friendliness of Sunset Beach has definitely changed. On this past Sunday, a group of 200 + beach goers said enough was enough. Under the leadership of friends of G. Bar, they moved the party to the North End of Ft. Desoto State Park Beach. Voted many years in a row as America's #1 Beach! With plenty of free parking & great white sand and dunes it was a HIT!!! Floating in on several boats were drag shows, Hot Bois & Men everywhere! On shore a BBQ, lots of rainow colored umbrellas, Crazy Lesbians stirring up the pot and GLBT Families with their children. For a great time we will see you on the north end!!!

This past weekend ROCKED !!!!! This past Saturday, July 4th I hosted and performed at the GaYBOR Days circuit pool party at the Tampa Howard Johnson's. Mark and Carrie of MC FILM created this week long of events and it was AWESOME !!!! D.J. CK Rocked the pool party and MONACO Fashions of Tampa ( www.myspace,com/monacofashion ) put together a Fierce fashion show with Rhine stoned Shirts n Jeans to Swimsuits and HOTTIE Chris in a Jock Strap....Grrrrr !!! Arica Love co-hosted the event with me and Diva... Beverly Wilde also performed ! Bath House.. the Musical also performed in Towels....YUM !! After the pool party we all went to G-Bar in YBOR to see Boy Britney ( Derrick Barry ) from NBC's America's Got Talent perform as Britney Spears. Good Friend Misty Eyez from Fort Lauderdale was also in town with BOY from www.boysbuzz.net to interview Boy Britney. This past Monday, Roger, Ph0enix Taylor, TINK, and I drove up to Pulse in Lakeland for Daphne Ferraro's EOY Benefit. We had a GREAT time and raised over $1000.00 for her venture to Kentucky.

When i first moved to Florida 8 years ago from NY I was told i would NEVER get booked because i was too BOLD !! Well after 8 years of trying to soften my look n blend with the Florida look, I must say.... I'm booked EVERYWHERE ( Almost-LOL ) I am What I Am and PROUD to be 100% Drag Queen ( MALE ) and.. NO I'm NOT hating on Tranny's, My X Anthony ( Dina Marie ) my number 2 on My Space is one of the most Famous TS Girls in NY and travels all over hosting TS partys. I LOOK up to her... I was looked down from the Tampa and St. Pete Click because of my BIG hair n Colorful make-up, and now I'm HAPPY to say some of those Queens are beggin for work, and even asking me to help them get work..... Word 2 the Wise....KARMA is a BITCH !!!! BOLD Drag Queens are the Queens that paved the roads for all the Queens in America....Miss Understood, RuPaul, Lady Bunny, Jackie Beat, and Divine !!! I'm now a Part Time Show Director helping out someone with Performers from Tampa, St. Pete, and Lakeland, within a few months I'll take over Fully as Show Director. The Club is AMAZING with a packed house every Show night.... I would like to THANK some people who believe in me.... Butter Pan

lay layers peel mangos

use 1 lb brown sugar

use 1 box Ritz crushed crackers

pour 1 lb melted buter

repeat

Bake for 1 hour at 350

Top with vanilla bean ice cream.

Everyone has heard by now of Susan Boyle, the international You Tube sensation from Britian's Got Talent. My alter ego Miss B. Havin' will be performing HER rendition of Susan Boyle. I guarantee you it will be very funny (not to mention irreverant!)
